Mrs. Flores has been the international business development director for Suntak, a Mexican-Japanese industrial construction firm for over five yeras.

Over the past years she has been fully responsible for sourcing and developing over 140 M USD in business opportunities and closing over 40 million USD in industrial construction projects. In line with her vocation for promoting investment into Mexico, she created an independent organization (Loadstone.Mx) and leads a team of highly qualified business consultants with whom she has organized approximately 25 investment seminars in the U.S., Japan and Europe. In her previous U.S. and Mexican governmental positions, she has represented the interests of foreign firms in about 8 countries, mainly Asia with the strongest ties to Japan.

Sofía has been granted scholarships for the most part of her degrees in International Relations, Minor in Japanese and masters in Public Policy (Tecnológicico de Monterrey) and done coursework through the Hiroshima University of Economics- Japanese Language, American University- Negotiation, Harvard School of Government- Social Policy and MIT Sloan School of Management- Negotiation.

She is Mexican-American, married, has two small children and loves travelling and spending time outdoors.
